Tokyo is a important wholesale centre and Industries in Tokyo manufacture electronic apparatus, transport equipment, automobiles, cameras and optical goods, furniture, textiles, and a wide variety of consumer items, as well as publishing and printing. Tokyo also has an amazing subway system with bullet trains and a big railway system
Tourism
Japan is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world because it has both traditional and modern tourist attractions. Japan also has one of the least crime rates in the world which makes it a ideal for tourists. Mostly all of Japans historical sites are used for their original purposes. In 2006, 4.81 million foreigners and 420 million Japanese visits to Tokyo were made. Many tourists visit the various downtowns, stores, and entertainment districts in Tokyo. These tourist are mainly school children on school trips and a good tourist destination in Tokyo is Tokyo Tower. You can also visit other places like Sensō-ji, Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Imperial Palace, Harajuku and Yoyogi Park.
